Making a good estimate

We have started our pirate topic, and today Ebony brought in a bag of shells she had collected at Cleethorpes.  We spent some time this morning trying to guess how many were in the bag, and then we counted them.  Charley and Ellis were very close with their estimates.

How many do you think there are?

    I estimate that there are about 90 shells in your collection – please let me know if I am close 1L

    Very close Mrs Langford, but there are more than 90 shells.
