This week we have been very busy learning.  These are the things that the children remember doing this week.

Alexia liked the homework because it makes her clever.  Alfie and lots of the children liked their homework.  Declan liked doing the Jolly Phonics and learning our sounds.  Megan enjoyed bringing and talking about portraits.  Ellie enjoyed doing everything.  Darcy has enjoyed learning about adding and taking away using the cubes.  Toddy enjoyed making the numbers using Play-Doh.  Blossom liked investigating throwing with our hands.  Faith remembered that we were finding out about our heart.  Saffron and Elizabeth enjoyed making the puppets and re-telling a story.  Macey remembers drawing our portraits and painting them with water colours.  Faith remembered that we had been drawing a garden for our own story.

Here is a picture of our Homework Display.

Welcome to our restaurant.  It is called the Knife and Fork Restaurant.  Mrs Holmes wanted the children to know how to use their knives and forks properly, so we thought it would be a good idea to open a restaurant.

What the children have enjoyed this week.

Dylan likes it.  Harry likes the restaurant sign that we made.  Lily likes eating the pretend food made by our chefs in the kitchen.  Alfie has enjoyed playing in the football court on Friday.  Megan has enjoyed learning our sounds and practising our writing.  Brandon has enjoyed making the food out of play-Doh.  Jake has enjoyed doing the washing up.  Toddy liked learning how to write sentences on the computer.  We all enjoyed reading our books during literacy.

Welcome to the New 1L.

It has been a great start to the new school year.  The children have been working hard and have already got 12 marbles in the jar for being such a good class.

I’m looking forward to feeding those brains with knowledge and seeing them grow.
